A House of Brick and Beam

Borough: Waltham Forest

Our brief for this Walthamstow extension was a focus on enhancing the quality of a kitchen and dining area for a growing family. To address the challenges we faced due to certain permitted development regulations,  we introduced a cranked roof design that allowed us to optimise the available height while adhering to the rules and avoiding conflicts with existing windows.

Once everything received approval, the space started to come together, showcasing a blend of old and new aesthetic elements. Highlights include an exposed steel beam, visible interior London Stock bricks, and an elegant arched window.
